What You Can and Cannot Edit Once an Activity is Started or Completed
Table of Contents
Pear Suite allows flexibility—but also protects the integrity of your documentation, especially for activities that are being used for billing or reporting.
Here’s what you need to know:
Before the Activity Starts:
You can edit most fields, including:
- The responsible user
- The date and time
- The assigned members
- The activity template (by deleting and recreating if needed)
After the Activity Has Started:
- You can still update the status and enter or adjust notes.
- You can adjust the time (start or end) if needed for billing accuracy.
- You cannot change the flow or tasks inside the activity.
After the Activity is Completed:
- You cannot delete the activity.
- You cannot change any of the original questions or answers.
- You can view and export a summary of the activity.
- You can edit notes (all edits are tracked for transparency).
If you discover an error in a completed activity or need to make a correction, the best option is to add a clarifying note to explain the change or flag the issue. This helps maintain accurate records without overwriting original data.
