How to Add a Goal to a Member's Profile
There are two main ways to add a goal for a member in Pear Suite.
1. From the Member Profile
First, open the member’s profile and go to the Goals tab on the left. Click the “Add Goal” button.
You’ll now see two options:
- Use a goal template (if one has been created by your organization)
- Create a new custom goal
You’ll be asked to fill out a few details:
- The domain the goal falls under (like Housing, Health, Food)
- A description of what you're helping the member with
- One or more action items, which are the steps you’ll take or track
- An optional due date
- You can also link related activities, referrals, or care pathways to this goal if needed
Once saved, this goal will live on the member’s profile, and you can return to update its progress any time.
Tip: Custom goals created here are for this member only. If you want to reuse this goal for other members in the future, create a goal template in the Templates section (more on that later).
2. Automatically Through an Activity Flow
If your organization has set it up, Pear Suite can create goals automatically during an activity based on how the member answers a question.
For example: If a member says “Yes” to needing transportation, Pear Suite can instantly apply a Transportation Support goal using a saved template.
This only works if your team has set up the goal in advance as a template, and the flow is connected to it through a script.
If you’re not sure whether your workflows are set up this way, check with your Customer Success Manager.
