What Are Z-Codes?

Z-codes are a subset of ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes used to document social determinants of health (SDOH) and other non-medical factors that influence a member's health status. 

Start by navigating to the Organization page from the side menu. 

Scroll down to the Diagnosis Code section.

On the right-hand side, click “+ Diagnosis Code” to add a new billing code. A Create New Diagnosis Code window will pop up. The Code box is where you will enter the diagnosis billing code. The Description box is where you can input additional information around the diagnosis code. 

Once a diagnosis code has been created, you can edit it by clicking on the green Edit icon on the right side of the code. 

You can delete a diagnosis code by clicking on the red Delete icon on the right side of the code.
